3 Keys to Managing May on the Mountain

May is a month packed with events. School graduations, decorations, and Memorial Day weekend gatherings all compete for your time and attention. When the pace of life gets really hectic, our devotional life feels the squeeze as well. During our recent Wednesday night Meal with Missionaries, Josh Murphree arrested my attention when he said, "We spend time with the Lord and then we make disciples out of the overflow." His statement caused me to reflect on the benefits of personal devotional time. When faced with a manic month of events, spending time with the Lord is the only way to "Manage May!"

1. Prioritize: Make sure to keep reading the Bible and praying. What you make a priority will set the tone for your day and your relationship with Jesus Christ.

2. Plan: Plan to attend worship, even though you're busy this month. Worship service is our opportunity to tell God thank you for all that He allows us to experience this month.

3. Prepare: Prepare to share what God is showing you in His word. Ask God to give you words of wisdom and specific scriptures for those graduates in your life. Ask God to give words of consolation for those grieving at decorations and on Memorial Day.

Let's make May on the Mountain a month of Ministry!!
